We developed recommendations on management reporting system improvement for a large vertically integrated agricultural holding
shareholders of a large agricultural holding asked MCG to prepare a report on compliance of the holding’s management reporting system with the Russian and global best practices, estimate the information reliability level and the shareholder risks, and develop a program for improvement of the monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting.
MCG project team developed a methodology and assessed management reporting systems of the leading Russian and global agricultural and food production companies, conducted interviews with external experts from the companies being the market leaders and the client holding’s employees. At the next stage, MCG project team analyzed comparison of the client’s management reporting system and the best practices.
Project results: as a result of the work of MCG project team, the shareholders risks were determined, the drawbacks and improvement opportunities of the client’s management reporting system were identified, the recommendations and practical solutions for adjustment of the client’s management reporting system to the industry best practices were developed, and the problem points of the holding’s organizational and strategic management model were identified. Based on the recommendations of MCG, the holding shareholders approved a program for update of the holding’s corporate strategy.
