We developed a methodology for analyzing the housing construction market for a large Russian real estate company
One of Russia’s largest real estate companies hired MCG to help design their approach to assessing the market. The company had long-term plans for regional expansion and needed to define priorities for its realization.
The MCG team identified the key factors driving the attractiveness of the construction market, including migration trends, the level of urban development, the climate, the economic situation and others. Based on the identified set of criteria the project team designed an assessment methodology and classified Russian cities into several groups based on how promising they are for construction.
Project results: As a result of the project we provided the client with a report segmenting the cities based on how promising they are for residential construction, together with a methodology for assessing their attractiveness. This methodology includes a comprehensive list of over 150 indicators, as well as data collection and analysis guidelines and mathematical formulae.
