We supported the effort to streamline the client’s assets portfolio.
The client worked on streamlining its assets portfolio. The goal of the effort was to identify and sell all non-core assets. The company needed clear algorithms and guidance to balance time-to-sell and price-to-sell options, i.e. should the Company still sell an asset if the offered price is below the internal value?
The MCG team conducted a workshop in which it introduced the portfolio management concept and together with the management came up to clear rules designed to help the client evaluate pros and cons for selling or keeping an asset until a better offer appears.
