We set aspirational goals and built up an action plan to increase revenue inflows for a University
As Russian universities were becoming more independent from state budgets, our Client, one of Top-5 Universities in Russia, was looking for professional advice on the optimization of its multiple revenue inflows. Prior to the economic crisis of 2008, the University was highly successful at attracting revenues from educational programs. However, during the crisis, as the demand for paid programs declined, the University faced issues with the quality of the student body, as well as with the University funding. Thus the University was looking for clear action plans to diversify its revenue inflows.
The MCG team analyzed best practices from US, European and Asian Universities. Through our research we identified the major revenue inflows and key success factors that enable the inflows growth and sustainability. Next, the team analyzed the University’s current capabilities at attracting each of the identified inflows. Together with the University’s working team, MCG set up aspirational targets and developed detailed actions plans to grow the revenues. Additionally MCG supported the University at setting up tools and procedures to control the implementation processes.
